Baker & McKenzie Wong & Leow has hired a new debt capital markets lawyer in Singapore to enhance its debt and equity-linked capital markets practice.

Pallavi Gopinath Aney joins the firm from Linklaters’ Singapore office, where she was a managing associate at the equity and debt capital markets group. She will become a principal at Baker & McKenzie’s member firm in Singapore.

Aney is experienced in capital markets transactions across India, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, where she is strong in handling investment grade, credit enhanced, high-yield and other structured debt offerings. Aney’s practice also includes equity-linked transactions, liability management and bond restructuring transactions.

In 2004 Aney graduated from National Law School of India University, Bangalore, and joined Pathak and Associates followed by the Pathak-breakaway S&R Associates. She then joined Linklaters in 2006, specialising in capital markets.
