Yi Xue

Mr. Yi Xue (Josh) is one of the pioneer lawyers practicing competition law in China. From 2008, he represented a substantial number of well-known clients in merger-control reviews in connection with transactions concerning various industries. He also advised a number of high-profile clients on matters of anti-monopoly administrative investigation, anti-trust compliance, and anti-trust litigation.

• Assisted COSCO Shipping Financial Holdings Co., Ltd. in multi-jurisdictional antitrust law analysis for its acquisition of 100% equity stake in 5 companies from Hong Kong-listed Singamas Container Holdings Limited (00716. HK) with RMB 3.8 billion;
• Assisted A-share listed Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt  (603799. SH) in merger fling with PRC and South Korean competition authority regarding its acquisition of 100% equity stake in Tianjin B&M Science Technology Co., Ltd. with RMB 3.2 billion;
• Assisted Tianqi Lithium Corporation (002466.SZ) in obtaining unconditional approval from anti-monopoly enforcement authority regarding its acquisition of the international chemical magnate SQM with 4.066 billion US dollars;
• Assisted Shanghai Pharmaceuticals Holding Co., Ltd. (601607.SH/2607.HK) in obtaining unconditional approval from anti-monopoly enforcement authority regarding its acquisition of Chinese pharmaceutical distribution business of Cardinal, the American magnate in pharmaceutical distribution industry; and
• Assisted China Resources Snow Breweries Limited in obtaining unconditional approval from anti-monopoly enforcement authority regarding its acquisition of the business of Heineken in China.
