Dr. Wong, head of the firm’s corporate practice in Hong Kong, has significant experience representing MNCs, investment banks and major listed and private companies in corporate law matters, including mergers and acquisitions, general corporate and commercial, corporate strategies, IPOs, corporate restructuring, regulatory compliance and public takeovers across the Asia Pacific region.

• Advised a China listed state-owned enterprise in its successful acquisition as a white-knight of the liquidated Samson Paper (HK Stock Code: 731) through complex restructuring in HK, Bermuda and China.
• Advised a Nasdaq-listed management consulting company in its restructuring of the HK business and global management buy-out as HK counsel. The deal involved complicated regulatory issues in HK and mainland China and a challenging timetable for global restructuring.
• Advised a large chain of department stores in its global corporate restructuring.
• Advised a HK-listed company in the sale of several high-end car dealerships in southern China. Designed a deal structure consisting of offshore share sale and onshore asset sale.
• Advised a leading family owned lace manufacturer based in China as issuer’s HK counsel in the proposed listing of its shares on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
• Advised a Chinese specialty chemical company in the delisting of its ordinary shares on AIM of the London Stock Exchange.
