Olayemi Anyanechi is the founder and Managing Partner of SEFTON FROSS, a leading law firm in Nigeria. She began her career at the then MBC International Bank Limited, from where she left to study and obtained a Master’s degree in corporate and commercial law at Wolfson College, University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. She went to Cambridge as a Chevening Scholar and whilst there, became a Pegasus Scholar of the Inner Temple. She is recognized as a leading corporate and finance lawyer in Legal 500, as well as the IFLR11000 guide. She has more than two decades of experience advising various organizations and multinational companies on a range of local and cross border transactions. She is an erudite speaker who has spoken in many conferences and workshop round the globe and a prolific writer who has written on diverse issues of law.

  • Advised Dangote Cement PLC as Solicitors to the Trustees of the N100,000,000,000 Series 1 Bond Issuance.
  • Advised Prudent Energy & Services Limited on the US$110,000,000 secured syndicated facility for the acquisition of 74.02% of Forte Oil PLC (now Ardova PLC).
  • Advised Sunfunder Inc., on its US$4million finance facility to Daystar Power to fund its Nigerian solar power business.
  • Advised as solicitors to Fountain SPV Limited, in its private placement of up to NGN15,000,000,000 (Fifteen Billion Naira) Notes to be used for the financing of infrastructure projects in Ekiti State.
  • Advised Sea Transport Service Nigeria Limited, a vessel operations company on the refinancing of its vessel finance facility with Guarantee Trust Bank Plc and a US$27,800,000 vessel lease facility with Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc.
