  • Advised Petro Vietnam on the negotiation of an offtake agreement with Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical LLC (NSRP);
  • Advised China Construction Bank (HCMC Branch) on a USD 73million syndicated loan for the development of Hailide’s USD 150 million fiber textile complex in Tay Ninh (Vietnam);
  • Advised PV Power in EPC contract for combined cycle LNG power project Nhon Trach 3 & 4 for total capacity of 1.5 GW;
  • Advised PVGAS on the termsheet and JVA with AES Corporation to develop the Son My LNG terminal project;
  • Represented owners of the largest polyester manufacturing plant in Vietnam in an ICC arbitration in Singapore against the contractor;
  • Represented the client before the ICC International Court of Arbitration in Singapore in relation to the dispute settlement under EPC Contract valued at USD 25m;
  • Advised Vietnam Airlines on the restructuring of Jetstar Pacific;
  • Advised AstraZeneca on the importation of 30 million doses of AstraZeneca’s Covid-19 vaccines into Vietnam;
  • Assisted Chrysaor Holdings Ltd in obtaining Vietnam merger clearance for its reverse takeover of Premier Oil plc, a leading UK oil company with gas and oil interests in the UK, Asia, Africa and Mexico;
  • Advised SMBC and Mizuho bank on the sponsor guarantee for 80 million USD bridge loan to the Malaysia Vietnam Offshore Terminal Company for the development of offshore FPSO;
  • Advised Vietcombank on an inter-creditor agreement with Credit Suisse Ag, Singapore for a USD 250 million loan to finance real estate projects within the territory of Vietnam;
  • Represented a multinational beverage company in a commercial litigation over the claim that there was a strange object found inside the client’s products;
  • Represented client, a multinational peer-to-peer ridesharing and ride service hailing app provider, in a tax dispute against the Ho Chi Minh City tax authority;
    Supported Habeco to listing on stock market. The listing values the brewery at VND 2.3 Trillion (US$104 Million) based on market capitalization;
  • Advised PetroVietnam Oil Corporation (PVOil) on the equitisation of, and sale to a strategic investor of PetroVietnam’s shares in, PVOil;
  • Advised on legal matters relating to Samsung Pay and worked with the State Bank of Vietnam on the relevant licensing matters.
