Mike is a Partner at Mulenga Mundashi Legal Practitioners in the Corporate, Finance and Commercial Transactions Department.  Over the years, he has gained experience and advised on a wide range of cross-border M&A  and financing transactions, both prior and after joining the Firm,including, acquisition and leveraged financing; corporate financing; sovereign financing; project financing; and syndicated lending transactions.

Formerly, Mike worked as an Associate at Corpus Legal Practitioners under the Banking and Finance Department before being seconded to the Legal Department at the African Banking Corporation Zambia Limited T/A Atlas Mara Zambia, one of the leading commercial banks in Zambia, to assist on numerous legal tasks including but not limited to M&A issues in relation to a potential takeover of Atlas Mara by Equity Group Holdings in 2019.

  • The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited in the provision of US$306,000,000.00 to among others, Grit Real Estate Income Group Limited. A transaction which has been reported as one of the largest African sustainability linked deal by Bloomberg.

  • First Quantum Minerals Limited in connection to what has now become known as the ZCCM-IH Royalty Transaction. A transaction which was announced by ZCCM-IH on the Lusaka Stock Exchange and reported by the ZNBC.
  • Kobold Metals in connection with US$150 million investment for the development of Mingomba Mining Project to a world class mining company. A project which was announced by the President of the Republic of Zambia and reported by Reuters.
  • Bandwidth & Cloud Services Group Holdings Limited in connection with the US$12,000,000.00 facility availed to BCS Group by Finnish Fund for Industrial Cooperation Limited.
  • The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited in connection with the US$16,405,125.00 senior secured loan facility to Zambian Property Holdings Limited.
  • ALCF I Investment II Proprietary Limited, on the Zambian competition law aspects in connection with the acquisition of 37.62 percent stake in FSG Limited.
