Mark Fraser is the CEO and Managing Partner of Frasers Law Company. With over 30 years of international legal experience across Vietnam, the UK, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, and New Zealand, he is widely recognised as one of Vietnam’s leading lawyers. Based in Vietnam since 1995, Mark has advised clients on landmark transactions spanning M&A, banking, leveraged and project finance, capital markets, investment, and restructuring. His clients include international and domestic banks, hedge funds, institutional investors, borrowers, and project sponsors.

In 2004, Mark founded Frasers Law Company, becoming the first to obtain a foreign law company licence in Vietnam, with the aim of delivering Vietnamese legal advice to international standards. Prior to this, he established and led the Ho Chi Minh City office of a Magic Circle firm and later served as Managing Partner of Freehills’ Ho Chi Minh City office.

Mark is consistently recognised by leading legal directories, including IFLR1000, asialaw, The Legal 500 Asia Pacific, Chambers Global, and Chambers Asia Pacific. He is honoured in The Legal 500 Hall of Fame and was awarded Asialaw’s Client Service Excellence Lawyer of the Year in Vietnam (2020). In 2024, he was also named among Legal 500’s M&A Powerlist: Asia Pacific.

A graduate of the University of Auckland with degrees in Law and Commerce, Mark is admitted in New Zealand and Australia and registered as a foreign lawyer in Vietnam. He has co-authored numerous publications on acquisitions, infrastructure, and power generation in Vietnam, reflecting his deep knowledge of the country’s regulatory landscape.
