JACOB HØEG MADSEN'S PRIMARY PRACTICE AREAS ARE FINANCIAL REGULATION, FUND FORMATION, MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS (M&A) AND COMPANY LAW. HE BECAME A PARTNER IN 2015.

FINANCIAL REGULATION

Jacob is committed to assist the financial sector with transactions and advise on a broad range of regulatory matters, including asset and investment management, the marketing and management of funds (both UCITS and AIFs), payment services, Fintech, etc. Advising pension funds and life assurance companies, e.g. on direct investments, is among Jacob’s specialist qualifications.       

FUND FORMATION

He has experience in the formation of funds (e.g. private equity funds and debt funds) both in terms of drafting and negotiating the fund documentation, advising on structures etc. and in terms of advising on the regulatory aspects of establishing and marketing funds. He has also advised on co-investment structures.  

M&A

While his M&A practice is focused on advising financial undertakings, he also works on deals involving non-regulated targets. His broad private M&A experience includes representing both institutional (e.g. private equity funds) and industrial buyers and sellers in relation to both domestic and cross-border transactions.   

COMPANY LAW

Jacob is also recognised for his expertise in advising on complex company law matters such as cross-border mergers/demergers, recapitalisations, group internal restructurings, cash pools, employee incentive schemes (LTIPs, warrant programmes etc.), shareholder agreements etc.
