Ms Fumiko Oikawa has some 20 years’ experience advising on finance transactions and also handles international trade matters. She is a core member of the firm’s finance practice group, and co-heads the Structured Finance/Securitization/Trust Team and the Financial Regulation Team. Her experience in securitisation includes active involvement in various securitisations of lease and credit card receivables, bank loans (collateralised loan obligations), housing loans (mortgages) etc. She also co-heads our firm’s International Trade Team and advises on JAPAN-EU EPA matters, export controls and economic sanctions. She worked in the Planning and Coordination Bureau of the Financial Services Agency from 2005 to 2007, assisting with revisions to financial regulations, including the Banking Act and the Trust Business Act.
