Ana Amado is an Associate at Creel, García-Cuéllar, Aiza y Enríquez where she specializes in Energy and Infrastructure. She has been counsel in the development of energy and infrastructure projects, including the participation in public tenders, the obtainment and compliance with permits, authorizations and concessions pursuant to applicable law, as well as, the preparation and execution of the relevant agreements. 

  • Counsel to Howard Energy Partners in the development of a first-of-its-kind natural 274 Km natural gas pipeline in Northern Mexico, including all permitting aspects, regulatory compliance, contractual relationships, land, and environmental matters, among others.
  • Counsel to Sierra Oil & Gas in their winning bid, in consortium with Thalos and Premier Oil, for the first E&P contracts awarded by the National Hydrocarbons Commission. 
  • Counsel to the consortium formed by Mitsui & Co., Ltd., Korea Gas Corporation and Samsung Corporation and their project company, Terminal KMS, in their winning bid for the contract awarded by the Mexican Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) for the design, construction and operation of an LNG Storage Terminal in Manzanillo, Colima, Mexico. Since 2007 we have been responsible to all aspects of the project, including all commercial, environmental, regulatory and financing matters. 
  • Counsel to Grupo Modelo in the development of a natural gas pipeline project at Zacatecas, in collaboration with the Federal Government.
  • Counsel to Transportadora de Gas Internacional, S.A. in the preparation and structuring of their participation in public bids called by CFE for services relating to certain compression station and development of pipelines.
  • Counsel to RWE Supply & Trading GmbH in their participation in several public bids and procurement procedures called by CFE, including the first electronic auction process, for the awarding of coal and liquefied natural gas supply contracts.

  • Mrs. Amado obtained her Law degree (JD) from the Universidad Panamericana and a Postgraduate degree in Administrative Law, also from the Universidad Panamericana. Additionally, Mrs. Amado obtained her Masters degree in International Law from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. In addition, she obtained a Diploma in Energy Law, at Escuela Libre de Derecho, in 2018.
