Chancery Chambers, established in 1977, offers comprehensive legal services to domestic and international clients, specialising in international business law and law relating to charities. One competitor hails Trevor Carmichael, the firm's principal, as "an Ambassador for Barbados". Associate Andrew Ferreira, whom the peer described as Carmichael's "second-in-command" is described by another competitor as "an exemplary lawyer, technically accurate, prompt and professional".

Chancery Chambers has added ANSA Merchant Bank and Pacific Life Insurance to its roster of clients, and is currently representing the company in relation to the restart of the Four Season Development Project. The firm also continues with what has so far been a three-year involvement in the mammoth Landmark Limegrove Commission Residential and Commercial Development Project in Holetown, on the western end of the island. Ongoing work includes the creation of 12 subsidiaries of the Royal Bank of Canada, which began in 2007 and extends the bank's presence to Barbados, Bahamas and the Cayman Islands.

Chancery Chambers has recently been putting together a parametric insurance program for the economically disadvantaged in Haiti. The initiative will include non-governmental organisations, aid agencies and micro-finance institutions providing maximum loans of $2500. Parametric insurance does not indemnify the loss but makes payments upon triggering events.
