Recently, PUC acting as the sole Lenders' Counsel advised, prepared, reviewed, negotiated documentation and conducted a due diligence exercise on the project sponsor, Deanshanger Project Limited ("DPL") for the N61.194 Billion Syndicated Medium Term Finance Facility for the provision of integrated civil infrastructure and development of 777 hectares of land within the Katampe District, Federal Capital Territory ("FCT"), Abuja through a Public Private Partnership ('PPP") arrangement. PUC facilitated the signing/execution of the project documentation by DPL, FCDA and the consortium of Lenders in a widely publicized ceremony on 15 June 2011 in Abuja. PUC acted as lenders counsel and advised on the Nigerian Law aspect of the $10 million Letter of Credit issuance and refinance facility issued by UBUK Plc to a local firm engaged in Oil and Gas sector of the Nigerian economy. PUC reviewed, negotiated and perfected finance documentation as Lender's counsel for the issuance of an ECGD backed loan to the tune of about USD100 Million USD credit facility issued to a local bank. PUC advised, reviewed and negotiated documentation for the sale and purchase of the entire issued shareholding of Oceanic Bank Sao Tome and Principe a subsidiary of Oceanic Bank International Plc.
