Chancellors Chambers, a full-service firm specialising in real estate and resort development, is a new entry to this year's rankings. Clients include the 20-acre Pink Sands Resort and the Coral Sands Hotel in Harbour Island, North Eleuthera, part of the Bahama's Out Islands.
Chancellors Chambers continues to represent Woslee Construction, the Bahamian joint venture partner of LedCor Construction, a Canadian company, on the high-profile $300 million expansion of the Lynden Pindling International Airport, the largest airport in the Bahamas. The 247-square-foot US departure terminal opened in March 2011, concluding the first phase of the airport's redevelopment, and is hailed by one competitor as "tremendously successful". The firm also represents seven major subcontractors on the project.
In 2011, Chancellors Chambers advised the International Development Bank (IDB) on the new Small and Medium Size Enterprises Development Act. The IDB will act with the Bahamian government to develop these enterprises with the overall goals of expanding the economy and creating jobs.
