Kim Choi & Lim has represented large and mid-size corporations in the Korean market in the last year. Its banking and finance partner Jongjae Kim was instrumental in four highlight transactions this year. He advised Tomato Loan and Savings Bank in obtaining a W23 billion ($21 million) asset-backed loan to purchase an office building in San Francisco and oversaw the W960 billion restructuring of OCI, a Korean chemicals company.
The firm's restructuring and insolvency practice, led by head partner Won-Hyun Choi, also had a busy year. Choi, along with Woo-Ho Park, represented RF Hitec, Yoo Sung Metal, and PoongSung Housing as they sought court orders for corporate restructuring.
