Established in the year 1981, the legal firm "Fiorio, Cardozo & Alvarado" has a permanent staff of 18 lawyers, and renders services in the fields of civil, commercial, banking, corporate and administrative law; as well as in matters related to telecommunications, petroleum and gas, maritime law, aviation law, international transactions, patent and trademarks, tax law and litigation proceedings in general.

MAIN AREAS OF PRACTICE:
Corporate Law. We offer integral services, covering all the requirements of national and foreign companies, in the area of civil, commercial, labor and tax law. The above includes incorporation of companies, drafting of bylaws, serving as or supplying members to the Board of Directors, preparation of general stockholders meetings, establishment of foreign companies' branches, counseling on contractual matters, amongst others.
Banking Law. Our law office provides legal advisory services to several domestic and foreign banks and finance companies, covering banking regulations, contracts, and tax and labor law.
Maritime law. In the past, we have performed registration of vessels and turgboats under the Paraguayan flag, vessels financing and leasing, collision charter party and salvage disputes, and insurance claims.
Aviation law. We currently represent United Airlines, Aerolineas Argentinas and Cessna Finance Corporation in this area. In the past, we obtained substantial expertise by representing Braniff, Eastearn Airlines and Aero Peru in day by day operations. The firm`s hallmarks of delivering the highest level of integrity and professionalism in order to provide clients with solutions. We also take all necessary steps to ensure that quality legal services are provided to our clients at a reasonable cost.
Mining, gas and oil law. We have gained experience in advising foreign companies that have obtained license for hydrocarbon, gas and mining prospection, exploration and exploitation in the territory of Paraguay.
Telecommunications Law. We have been engaged, for the past ten years, in rendering counseling to international concerns that operate in the local cellular telephone area, as well as enterprises providing satellite transmission services.

Fiorio, Cardozo & Alvarado currently represents various worldwide known companies such as GlaxoSmithkline Paraguay S.A, Exxon Mobil Corporation; Louis Dreyfus Paraguay S.A. and Sanofi Aventis S.A. Our firm has rendered in the past and currently counsel services to several banking institutions. We have also given advice to Multinational credit institutions on loan transactions for local corporations. The firm represents an important group of maritime companies doing business in Paraguay such as Lógico (Louis Dreyfus Group), TBN (Rio Tinto Group) and CMSP Mercosur Schuttle. Regarding mining law, we have advised multiple international companies such as Conoco, Maxus Energy, Phillips Petroleum, Uranio AG and Cameco Corporation.
