Moreno Baldivieso is one of Bolivia's largest firms and known mostly for its IP practice but the firm has begun to branch out from its core business and has started to forge a name for itself in other disciplines.
Last year Moreno assisted Bank Julius Baer, a Swiss investment bank, in a large scale loan facility with a Bolivian agricultural corporation. The complexity of the transaction was heightened not only because of Bolivia's treacherous securities regime but also because it required security pledges inside and outside of the country.
The firm also acted for Autentica, one of the largest beer producers in Bolivia, on the company's construction of a new brewery, advising the company in all corporate, matters. The project is scheduled to enter production in April 2011.
Clients value the firm's quick response time and efficient handling of their needs. "On time and always close to the client," is how one customer describes the firm's services.
