JLD & MB is a three partner, ten lawyer firm. The leading partners are very well connected with a strong record of transactions in the capital markets and project financing.
Merene Benyah and Joyce Darko are the key partners, and in 2011 they handled one of the most significant capital markets transactions of late in Ghana, advising Tullow Oil on its IPO on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE), which opened in June 2011. The IPO was one of the biggest deals of the past year and marked the largest ever primary share listing on the GSE. In July 2011, Tullow followed up with a secondary listing.
