Sarie-Eldin & Partners is considered one of the most experienced law firms in Egypt and the Middle East in banking & finance transactions.  It was founded in 2007 by Dr Hani Sarieldin, a high-profile attorney who has acted both for the private and public sectors on numerous large and complex transactions in Egypt. He is intimately familiar with the Egyptian public sector, including ministers in the executive branch and has provided invaluable advice on foreign investment in Egypt.  Indeed, Sarieldin & Partners acted as the lead law firm advising the Egyptian government on the expansion of the Suez Canal. He is also the President of SODIC, one of the largest real-estate developers in Egypt, sits on the board of Banque Misr and the Egyptian-American Enterprise Fund.

  • Acting for the National Bank of Egypt as legal advisors on a syndicated facility agreement to an energy company for USD 500m;
  • Acting for Amiral Group (a private maritime logistics company) for a bridge facility agreement valued at USD 30m;
  • Advising Ahli United Bank on a syndicated facility for “Beyti”, an agro-business manufacturer, worth USD 105m;
  • Providing legal services to the Arab African International Bank re the transaction of granting a multicurrency Sharia compliant syndicated facility of up to EGP 1.2 Billion to Evergrow for Specialty Fertilizers Co.


Capital Markets, Mergers and Acquisitions:

  • Advising MB Engineering SAE on its initial public offering on the Nile Exchange, and subsequent capital increase;
  • Advising the Suez Canal Authority on the repurchase of concession rights in the Port Said zone.
