Siemens $4.5 billion acquisition of Mentor Graphics

Overview:

• German engineering company Siemens has reached an agreement to acquire US-based electronic design company Mentor Graphics in a $4.5 billion deal.
• The price tag comes to $37.25 per Mentor share.
• Deutsche Bank and JPMorgan were financial advisers for Siemens.
• Bank of America acted as financial adviser for Mentor. 
• If the deal is approved by regulators, it is expected to close in the second half of 2017.
