Heussen to triple size of Stuttgart office

02 Feb 2012

Heussen, the German independent with international offices in Brussels, Amsterdam, Rome and New York, has made a move to expand its presence in Stuttgart through the takeover of local firm Wahlert.

Wahlert's 16 strong practice will join Heussen in March to increase the firm's numbers in the city to 23, including nine partners. Heussen had only opened its Stuttgart office in January 2011. Horst Teller, Sven Hoffmann and Pascal Schulz will join the firm's partnership and it is expected that Sabine Benthin, Michael Frühmorgen and Marcel Mercadal will become partners in due course.

Heussen has 90 lawyers in Germany through offices in Berlin, Frankfurt and Munich. Managing partner Christoph Hamm told the press that the takeover of Wahlert was part of a strategy to become fully established in all of Germany's key urban hubs.
